'Lily' was given to her new owners as a surprise wedding present a couple of days before the big day. I am told the bride to be became emotional when seeing it, which seems to be a running theme when the recipients are given my paintings! Thinking that maybe I should stop painting these, as I hate to make or see people cry?!
But then when I get such a heartfelt thank you comment from a client whose painting is of an animal they have sadly lost (and that in itself brings with it so much more responsibility to get it right), it sort of makes it all even more special to me.
